Multilingualism has become a social phenomenon governed by the forces of globalization. 1 Nevertheless , it may also certainly be a weapon of hidden and indirect impact on cultural orientation of a nation, which could lead to split-up of a nation. For instance, the breakup of Yugoslavia may be a good example. Ethnical and cultural conflicts among six nations around the world were heated up up simply by lingual diversity, which resulted in one and only feasible way out – the split-up of the nation. 2 In addition , the the latest events in Ukraine also have proved that sovereignty and multilingualism will not always indicate social part.
